Tidy Freelance web developers aiming to tidy up the web, one site at a time

PSD to XHTML & CSS conversions

You design it. We build it.

Converting web design layouts into web standards compliant web pages (i.e. PSD to XHTML conversions) is one of our specialities.

We follow current best practice in web development wherever possible:

  • Coding according to web standards (XHTML & CSS)
  • Extensive cross-browser compatibility
  • Semantic markup
  • Search engine friendly development methods
  • Consideration of accessibility issues

Want a website built? Here's what we need...

  • A graphic design file (PSD, PNG or JPG) for each main layout variation in the site
  • An explanation of any interactive or animated effects not clearly shown in the graphics e.g. details of rollover effects ot drop down menus.
  • Text content for the site in a suitable format. Ideally the content should be provided in plain formatted HTML files. Alternatively, Microsoft Word or text documents with clear headings and divisions for each page and section should be provided.
  • Graphic content for the site in JPG or GIF format and any multimedia content files (e.g. SWF files for flash content).
  • FTP details and Control Panel access for the site.
  • An explanation of any programming functionality required on the site. For example, if there will be a contact form on the site, it should be specified how the form submissions will be handled(e.g. details will be stored in a database, or e-mailed to an address, or both).
